2009 Skoda Superb GreenLine Launched in the U.K

The 2009 Skoda Superb Greenline has been launched in the U.K, and due to its low C02 emissions, you would have to pay lesser tax to drive it compared to the normal version (that’s how the system in the U.K works). The Superb Greenline has better aerodynamics and a more fuel efficient engine, reasons why you pay a premium over the regular Superb.

Readers of the BusinessCar magazine in the U.K have voted the 500 as the “City Car of the year”, snatches the crown away from contenders Citroen C1, Peugeot 107 and Toyota Aygo. The Fiat 500 is available in both petrol and diesel variants in the U.K and starts at £8,100. This isn’t the first time the 500 is winning awards. It’s done it a million times before, and the best of the lot was the European Car of the Year 2008.

The Tata Indicruz based on the Indica Vista platform will go on sale hopefully by the end of this year in India. It has been spotted testing for well over a year now. Tata has driven thousands of miles in many continents on their latest cars- both the Indica Vista and the Indicruz, to analyze and understand their cars better, much before their entry into the market. Another derivative of the Indica Vista, the Indigo sedan we are told, will arrive at dealer showrooms by the end of June 2009.

Suzuki has introduced the Splash hatchback in the U.K with a 1.0-liter engine. Smaller engines emit fewer emissions, which is exactly the same intention behind this variant from Suzuki.

The engine produces 68 bhp and just 120 g/km CO2 emissions enabling it to enjoy lower taxes in the U.K. But that hardly matters to us.

This mini-Volkswagen bus is only 3-feet and 1-inch tall. Meaning for the average 6 foot man, this automobile only reaches to around the waist area. But wait, there is the lowrider that you would want to have a look at  [ Read More ]

Skoda Fabia Blueline- Only 500 numbers and only in U.K.

Top Gear’s G-Wiz on sale at ebay !

Fancy owning a slice of Top Gear history? OK, so it’s a particularly mangled, smashed-up slice. But a slice, nonetheless. This is the G-Wiz (known in India as the REVA) crashed last year, in Top Gear’s crash test. TG wanted to see if a driver could survive a 64kph smash in the G-Wiz. The result? Erm, just look at how it caved in – scary, eh? Anyway, since the test,  [ Read More ]
