Skoda Fabia Race Package

Skoda’s German arm has introduced a sports kit for the Fabia named “Race Package”

Available on the 68hp 1.2-liter petrol and and 85HP 1.2-liter TSI petrol, the Race-package contains a front spoiler, a new apron for the rear bumper with an integrated diffuser, chrome exhaust tail pipe cover, white-colored roof and fancy graphics that run at the rear and top of the vehicle.

17-inch alloy wheels dressed in white, and a lowered suspension setup complete the package that costs (US$19,000-20,500)

In India, Skoda has neglected the Fabia, not even bothering to upgrade it to BS4 norms. Perhaps the race package could be introduced when the BS4 Fabia is launched later this year.

A move that in first of its kind, the Czech auto maker Skoda has initiated to sell Fabia entirely online. Come next week and you can buy your Fabia online.

The Car will be available through dealers only it’s just the paper work and buying experience made easy. The visit to the dealership will just be limited to test drives and delivery and even if a buyer goes to a dealership to book the car, the actual booking process will be paperless.

The move is done to lure customers for the festive season and make buying easy. To work on this embryonic ploy Skoda Auto India has partnered with a popular online portal.

We think this is the great move to gratify the buying experience by the Skoda Auto India who doesn’t have a big reputation in customer satisfaction, may be this could prove a shot in right direction and give them extra brownie points.

You would need to have a sharp eye and a good knowledge of Skodas to crack this. The Skoda Fabia facelift is what a bunch of lazy engineers can come up with.

The facelifted model is scheduled for the release next year and its front fascia is similar except for the wider lower grille.

A similar change is anticipated to the rear bumper. Inside, the car is rumored to stay largely the same. In India, this is the car expected to come with fresh engines.

Skoda Auto has increased the production of its star car Fabia from 1000 units to 1200 units a day, reacting to the increasing demand for the small car.

The main reason for the demand for the small car is the launch of car scrappage schemes in most of the European Union countries. Despite the increase in production the waiting time for the Fabia is still rather long.

One of our regular Russian readers sent in information that goes out to all the Fabia fans in India. The hatchback can now be fitted with LED foglamps from a popular company Milotec for € 300.

Milotec also offers an aggressive body kit for the Fabia, pictured above. Their side skirts, wing mirrors, bumper, alloy wheels are all fine, but why remove the Skoda logo atop the grill? That kinda puts us off.

The Skoda Fabia Sportline has been introduced in the Czech Republic, ahead of its Indian appearance later this month. The Sportline is essentially a visually and mechanically enhanced Skoda Fabia.
