
Our photoshop star SRK, found this car very hard to crack. From the existing load of spy shots, it was baffling to produce an almost real chop, but nonetheless he managed to piece together an image of the future Hyundai Sonata.
The final product in its finished form promises to look much sleeker and dynamic, but if you need a rough estimate, or idea as to how it will roll, this image does its job.

Its Official!
The much awaited Hyundai i40/Sonata YF will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show next year. Interestingly the dates of the show (January 11-24) overlap with the Delhi Auto Expo. It will be interesting to see if Hyundai displays a model here for us.
The new Hyundai i40 has been spied many times, we’ve brought scores of spyshots and renderings. We’ll have our version of the car up in the course of next week.
The Hyundai Sonata YF will make it to India next year. Its futuristic design will go down well with Indian consumers. It must be priced correctly, at the end of the day let us remember this is a Hyundai and in India, it makes small cars.
The base model will use a 4-cylinder engine direct injection technology will be utilized. The engine options of the next Sonata has been discussed in depth here before.
From the low-res spy shot of the Hyundai Sonata YF/i40-
Pull back headlamps, swooping windshield, convex bumpers, thin and wide indicator lamps etched on the bumpers, a radiator grille that is reminiscent of the Tata Prima, are more or less the chromosomes of the modern Hyundai.
Spyshots told us the design language of the new Hyundai Sonata YF/i40 is bold and original and hasn’t been inspired by BMW, like the current model.
Watch the shape of the headlight and the angle of the windshield carefully. They are in sync and go with the flow of the car. If you look at the present Sonata, you would not find that.
The Hyundai Sonata YF will be powered via a variety of petrol, diesel engine, and not to forget a hybrid sources. Body styles will include a station wagon variant for European customers.

The 2010 Hyundai Sonata YF which is to be launched next month, was caught testing yet again. Even though the body shape looks very coupe-ish (like say a Mercedes CLS), thanks to the ultra heavy camouflage, people are left clueless about the car’s overall design. Even the Front bumper we saw earlier, aint of much help!
Nevertheless, some say the 2010 Hyundai Sonata YF’s headlights are from the Hyundai i30, grille from the Hyundai Equus, bonnet from the ixonic concept and looks like a stretched 6-Series beemer, while others say the dashboard has very obvious elements from Chevrolet’s Beat, all Volvos, Honda‘s dials, garnished with Hyundai vertical Aircon vents.
Hyundai has been bringing out some very impressive new car designs of late, which means, a good looking Sonata YF is fairly obvious. But, will it become the ‘Honda Accord slayer’? We can’t wait to find out.

I don’t know how many of you will recollect the next generation BMW 5 Series bumper on IAB a few months back. Adopting a similar path (intentionally or unintentionally) a spy shot of the Hyundai Sonata’s bumper has found its way to the web.
The Hyundai Sonata YF is built on a fresh platform. It will be produced in Korea in gasoline, diesel and gasoline-electric variants. The Sonata YF, unlike the present Sonata with a lot of BMW 5-Series inspiration to it, will look different and have a station wagon variant too. It’ll have the chromosomes present in the ‘i’ range of cars. It’s referred as the i40, you know?
