Porsche has revealed that it is planning to introduce its new Diesel variant of its sports utility vehicle Cayenne to India.
The new Porsche Cayenne Diesel is not likely to come anytime soon to the Middle East and Asia, but talks are underway with the Germany’s Porsche executive panel to attempt to secure the vehicle for India, Porsche said in a statement.
Porsche has already begun the production of Cayenne Diesel at Leipzig in Germany and would be initially available in only selected European markets from February 2009.
* The Cayenne diesel will come with a powerful 3-litre V6 Turbo diesel engine with power of 240 Bhp (176 kW) and a peak torque of 550Nm.
* Engine is provided by subsidiary company Audi AG.
* The Cayenne diesel uses 9.3 liters Diesel per 100 kilometers and its CO2 emissions are 244 Grams/Km. Average mileage is 10.7 Kmpl. (Comparable to any fuel efficient SUV!)
Every month, Germany based Federal Motor Vehicle Office compiles the list of best-selling vehicles in the country by taking into consideration customer feedback. Seems like the small car, which is built exclusively in India, has taken the crown this time.
Hyundai i10 became the “most popular small car in Germany”. It has been named the “Most beloved light vehicle” of November by German consumers and for the first time, a Korean vehicle secured the top rank. After the taste of success in India, Hyundai’s i10 is tasting success in other parts of world too!
At first glance this car looks an awful lot like a next-gen Jetta both in shape and size, but the piece of paper on the windshield reads “VW 411 NMS” – which means, this is a ‘Test Mule*’ for VW’s NMS (New Midsize Sedan) development. This supplements Volkswagen’s recent announcement that will build a new mid-size sedan(NMS). In fact, this is the very first Test mule photographed. This car is intended to go head-to-head against the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.
Over here we have not 5 or 10, but 20 photographs of the much awaited Porsche Panamera, which is the first four door sports sedan from the German manufacturer. The Porsche Panamera is by far one of the most anticipated models, the official launch, still a few months away. The front-engined, rear wheel drive sporty Grand Tourer will try and make the most out of the luxury 4-door coupe-styled sedan market which will have entries like the Mercedes Benz CLS, Lamborghini Estoque and the Aston Martin Rapide.
Lorinser a well known company for its Mercedes after-market modifications in Germany, is now in India. Their recent exploit is the new Mercedes S-Class, code-named W221. Well, well, look what we have got here- The 2010 Suzuki Kizashi which we were speaking about earlier the other day. Spotted sporting zebra stripes, the Suzuki Kizashi is eager to attack it’s D-Segment competitors once it steps on to India some day in 2009-10. It’s name might be changed, it might be the same, but we think it hardly matters. The Suzuki Kizashi was photographed by spy photographers at [ Read More ]
