It is true! Honda’s city car rivaling the Toyota iQ and Smart Fortwo is a smaller version of the proven Honda Jazz.

Honda’s mini car dreams have got us dreaming. Honda, I think is emulating the Honda City’s strategy meaning a smaller version of the flagship car. In the mini car’s case it is the Jazz with the guiding light.

The mini Jazz could go on sale as early as 2011 reports say, which is very unlikely considering the high level of work required to bring out a car. It could take a year longer than that, but then this is Honda, and they are capable of anything.

We’ve already brought you enough details on the new Fiat Uno (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 times), but here’s more. The new Fiat Uno will be based on the next-generation Fiat Panda from Europe, but with some changes.

From the images which were shared by Giovane da Silva, we can see that the new headlamps will kind of dig into the bonnet, where the back lights will be based higher up the back of the model, similar to the Punto.

The back will be straight with a slight curve. The number plate will be housed in the bumper, and the sides on this model will be very similar to that of the Panda. The lack of any curves or complex shapes reduces manufacturing costs, understandable as this is a low-cost car.

Fiat’s new Uno will have a load of styling cues from the new Palio model as well, and we could see a debut, or even a release in December. Rumors are floating around that China will manufacture the new Uno, but we’re more interested in hearing when it’ll arrive in India.

Refreshed Chevrolet Aveo sedan launched in China

Our friend Shaun from South Africa who earlier tipped us about the Chevrolet Cruze in Port Elizabeth, stumbled on another discovery. This is a vital model if I was GM, as the Aveo isn’t performing very well.

The Chevrolet Aveo sedan with visual changes is now available to our neighbors China. It won’t be long before GM drags it into India, but significant change needs to be under the bonnet to transform it into a high-volume sedan.

Changes are minor on the Lova (known in China)- The headlamps are new, the radiator grille is a bit wider and taller, the trademark yellow bow tie has also bloated the line running across is fatter and lends it a different look. The Chevrolet Captiva SUV has a similar face.

The V-shaped front bumper is similar to the Chevrolet Cruze. The fog lamps are placed in an aluminium housing. The alloy wheels are newly designed and the wing mirrors are twin-color.

My friends find Prison Break, the perfect substitute for sleep and food. They download episodes through the night and watch them through the day. They even watch the same episodes over and over again.

The star of the popular TV show Prison Break, Wentworth Miller with his arrogant looks has been cast by Chevrolet on the latest Chinese TV Commercial of the Cruze. Wentworth was also in China to promote the Chevrolet Cruze at the Shanghai Auto show opening yesterday.

The advert has a racy sound track, Wentworth’s voice melts into it giving the Prison Break feel to it. Just like any other action-based car commercial, black SUVs, chase scenes and sexy voices are plenty.

But at the end of it, I don’t know what they mean or convey through this ad. Do you?

Pictorial tour of Chevrolet Cruze factory in China

The Chevrolet Cruze, which continues to make headlines after its debut in Paris last year is undoubtedly the most anticipated car in India in 2009. It is expected to make an appearance likely in December 2009 or early 2010 and will replace the aging Optra or might be positioned above it. It made it to its first production line in Korea last year, and sells as the Daewoo Lacetti Premiere.
