It has been a long time since we reported anything on the new S Class. The good chaps at Benzboost have presented us their idea of what the new S Class might look like.

We must say that there is a strong possibility that the new S Class might actually look exactly like this rendering.

The renderings feature a single frame with central air intakes and additional vents on the outer area of the front fascia. The headlamp design is very futuristic with incorporate LED daytime running lights. An additional LED strip below the headlamps makes it look more upmarket.

An official from Mercedes India told IndianAutosBlog.com just a handful of the first batch of models (M Class Edition 1) are unsold. Mercedes has brought 100 examples of this special edition to India with AMG body kit, alloys and a high level of equipment.

Having known that the target for the new M Class is 500 bookings in the whole year, that’s a pretty remarkable achievement!

Mercedes India has finally taken the wraps off the much awaited 2012 M Class. The new M Class is bigger, faster and cleaner than the outgoing model. It is a comprehensive upgrade in terms of design, dimensions and mechanicals.

Mercedes India has launched the new M Class in two versions; the first model is limited to 100 units only with an AMG kit, priced at 66 lakhs, and the second model with a usual kit priced at 56.9 lakhs. The standard version will be available after July, Mercedes Benz India officials said at the launch in Delhi. The prices mentioned are ex-showroom Delhi.
