The passionate folks at Cousins On Cars have photographed the basic version of the Xylo facelift with black bumpers and plain looks. The side profile is the same, the tail lights have subtle revisions (note the clear lens portion) and all variants get a new steering wheel.
Mahindra sells two versions of the Xylo, one for the personal segment and another for the commercial segment. The facelift has improved the car’s looks as it has cleared the clutter. The front-end looks orderly and some guidance has come from the commercial vehicle twin, Genio.

The launch of the new series is conducted tomorrow in Mumbai and as usual IAB, from ground zero, will bring you the prices and changes.
What’s with the Mahindra XUV500 that so many Indians can’t seem to get enough of? After attracting an impressive 8,000 bookings in a few days after the launch in 5 cities, the XUV500 yet again exposes the treasure chest hidden in the 10-15 lakh rupee SUV segment in its second round of bookings – the fever is still in high pitch!
The XUV500 bookings reopened on the 25th of January and was shuttered on the 3rd of February, 10 days later. The only difference was this time its availability was extended to 19 cities. Mahindra will launch the Xylo facelift on the 8th of February. These spyshots on Team-BHP.com provide a close view of the cabin and the cosmetic changes to the body. The new Xylo sports a cleared-out front end that looks way better than the original. The hood creases have been shifted, the design is a lot squarer and nudge guards are practical additions.

The side profile is highlighted with new rub rails and blacked out pillars. The mildly tweaked tail lamp is the only addition we can notice on the rear. Except for the redesigned steering wheel, we’re not able to spot any differences in the cabin.
Details of the powertrain and whether Mahindra will plonk the 2.2L mHawk mill under the Xylo’s bonnet will be understood in under 48 hours. Stay tuned to IAB!
Hardly an hour back we posted spyshots of the mini Xylo testing in Northern Europe to log performance in bitter cold weather. Now we have image editor Shoeb R Kalania showing us the look of the vehicle if Mahindra resolves to lend it the Xylo facelift’s front-end.

It looks like M&M isn’t taking any chances with the Mini Xylo. The Mini Xylo has been on test for donkey’s years now in India. However, our friends at WorldCarFans have spotted a lightly camouflaged test mule near northern Europe undergoing winter testing.

Generally, Indian manufacturers such as Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Force Motors et al do their winter testing in Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. However, this Indian manufacturer has gone much further for winter testing.

Ssangyong has started retailing a special edition Korando LE in the UK market. It stands apart from the usual variants through 18 inch bespoke alloy wheels, rear spoiler and privacy glass.
Interior additions such as heated front seats, leather trimmed steering wheel and gear lever, parking sensors and cruise control beef up not just looks alone but also value.
Three colors the Mahindra-owned Korean auto maker offer on the limited edition model are White, Red and Black. Power is derived from a 2L turbodiesel mill producing a peak power 173bhp and 360Nm of peak torque.
Mahindra exhibited the Rexton at the Delhi Auto Expo and we weren’t the only ones who felt the need for a redesign. The Rexton joining hands with the Korando will sit above the XUV500. Mahindra has announced that the Rexton’s launch will be conducted by November 2012.
Examining its ecosystem, the competition is very stiff and unforgiving. As many of the Rexton’s rivals are either CBU or CKD models, they the latest in terms of design, technology and features.

Mahindra testing the Rexton with no camouflage in India is not news. Ssangyong testing the facelift of the Rexton since late last year in Korea is again not hot news for Indian Autos Blog reader.
