The Range Rover Evoque Convertible that was introduced in late 2016 is finally about to reach the Indian showrooms. Land Rover will launch the drop-top version of its baby SUV in the country on 27 March, 2018, as per a report from Autocar India.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible has a fabric Z-folding electrically operated convertible roof system. A switch mounted in the centre console allows opening and closing of the roof at speeds of up to 48 km/h. The roof folds flush in just 18 seconds and raising it back takes 21 seconds. It has an acoustic inner lining to reduce road noise and also to provide insulation to the cabin.
When the Range Rover Evoque Convertible was introduced, its roof was the longest and widest fitted to any vehicle on sale. The loadspace capacity reduces from 550 litres (Coupe)/575 litres (5-door) to 251 litres in this version.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is available in the Dynamic, SE Dynamic and HSE Dynamic grades internationally. In India, Land Rover will offer it in only the HSE Dynamic grade.
Main features will include 18-inch 5 spilt-spoke Style 506 wheels, Adaptive Xenon headlights with LED signature lighting, 12-way Windsor leather electric front seats with memory, 660-watt, 12-speaker Meridian Surround Sound System with subwoofer, 10-inch InControl Touch Pro Navigation touchscreen infotainment system, and configurable ambient lighting. The company will offer wind deflector fixing points in the open-top version, for those who want to check the wind deflector option for better front seat comfort.
