HMSI showcased the Honda X-Blade at the 2018 Auto Expo last month followed by the commencement of bookings a week later. The motorcycle has now gone on sale across the country. Honda has priced the X-Blade at INR 78,500 (ex-showroom New Delhi).
Speaking about the new Honda X-Blade, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said:
The aggressive and futuristic new X-Blade has been designed for millennials and Gen-Z. As promised, we have started the dispatches of X-Blade in March 2018. Armed with more style, Honda’s tried and tested HET 160cc engine, and superior technology, X-Blade creates a new benchmark with several segment first features in its class and that too at an attractive price of Rs. 78,500 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).”
The bike has aggressive styling with a full LED headlight boasting a 9 LED position lamp setup. There’s a flyscreen to control wind blasts and a single piece seat with large grab rails on offer. The digital instrument cluster comes with a gear position indicator and a service-due indicator, apart from the regular information. The switchgear includes hazard lamp function for safety.
The Honda X-Blade draws power from a 162.71 cc single cylinder HET engine. The powerplant makes 13.93 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 13.9 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a 5-speed gearbox. A telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock suspend the diamond type frame.

In terms of pricing, the Honda X-Blade slots in below the Honda CB Hornet 160R. Bookings for the motorcycle are open at Honda dealers across the country for a sum of INR 5,000. Customers can choose from 5 colour options – Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Frozen Silver Metallic, Pearl Spartan Red, Pearl Igneous Black, and Matte Marshal Green Metallic.
