PT Suzuki Indomobil has unveiled two concepts of the Suzuki Ignis at the ongoing 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. One of them is the S-Urban Concept, conceptualised around the idea of an off-road, rally-spec Ignis.
The exterior of the S-Urban concept features a black plastic off-road-spec bumper with integrated fog lamps, Jimny-inspired 6-slot vertical grille, chunky off-road tyres shedding gun metal rally rims, thick black plastic front and rear fenders, rocker panel guards, hood scoop, roof rails and black ORVMs. At the rear, it has a bold black plastic bumper and a new rear spoiler. The concept is finished with a dual tone orange and white exterior contrasted by silver graphics.
The interior has not been snapped, but it is likely identical to the standard Ignis. Some of the features in the standard Ignis include LED headlamps with DRLs, fog lamps with chrome embellisher, steering-mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, and a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth as standard. The 7-inch Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system is optional.
Under the hood is a 1.2L 4-cyl K-Series petrol engine that produces 61 kW (83 PS) and 113 Nm of torque. In Indonesia, the Ignis GL and GX grades come equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, while the GX AT has the 5-speed AGS (Auto Gear Shift) AMT.
Indonesia is one of the first markets to receive the Suzuki Ignis produced in India. In the archipelago, it is priced between IDR 139.5 million and IDR 169.5 million.
