Bajaj Auto has introduced a more affordable variant of the Platina Comfortec, the Bajaj Platina ES Spoke, at an ex-showroom Delhi price of INR 42,650. As the name suggests, the bike misses out on alloy wheels to bring the price further down. It is cheaper than the alloy variant by almost INR 3,000. However, the electric starter is present in both the alloy and spoke variants which ensures hassle-free starting of the motorcycle.
The Platina Comfortec is powered by a 102 cc air-cooled engine which gives out 8.2 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.6 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. A 4-speed gearbox takes on the transmission duty. The bike’s service interval stands at 5,000 km, and the oil change interval is at a generous 10,000 km.
The bike also features a 28% longer front telescopic forks and a double spring rear spring suspension that is 22% longer for enhanced comfort. Furthermore, the bike is equipped with a ‘spring soft’ cushion seat for a comfortable ride. The bike is equipped with drum brakes on both ends, and the claimed fuel efficiency stands at 104 km/l. The Platina Comfortec is available in two colours- red and black.
