Renault Duster and Lodgy get the biggest cut.
The implementation of the Goods and Services Tax has brought down prices of Renault cars in India by up to 7%. The price reduction varies with variants and the city of purchase.
According to the latest price list, the Kwid Climber AMT variant has witnessed a drop of INR 5,200 to INR 29,500 in the ex-showroom price. At the time of launch in March 2017, the Climber AMT variant was priced at INR 4.60 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It has come down to INR 4.53 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The top of the line Renault Duster RxZ AWD variant is now cheaper by INR 30,400 to INR 1,04,700 depending on the state. Prices of the Duster starts at INR 8.29 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Prices of Renault's people mover Lodgy Stepway RXZ (7 seater) is cheaper by INR 25,700 to INR 88,600.

While there may be a short-term disruption as the whole system adapts to this economic transformation, but in the long term it will be very positive for the economy and corporate India.
