The TVS Apache RR 310S will be the most powerful series production TVS product.
New images of the TVS Apache RR 310S have been shared by a Rushlane reader. Unlike the concept motorcycle, the TVS Akula 310, which was carved to be a track tool, the production version may be positioned as a sports tourer.
The footpeg position is set slightly towards the rear to get a hint of sportiness. The handlebar though has been set high, which will allow the rider to be in a relaxed posture. Spy images have so far also confirmed that the TVS Apache RR 310S will get upside down fork up front, disc brakes at both ends and a radial mounted caliper in the front.
The TVS Apache RR 310S is TVS’s first fully faired production machine and the vertically mounted LCD instrumentation seen in the concept model continues to be on offer. The fancy carbon fibre body and gyroscopic cameras as seen in the concept, will not be making its way to the production line to keep the bike's price in check.
Powering the TVS Apache RR 310S will be a single cylinder mill which traces its origins to the 313 cc powerplant seen in the BMW G310R. In the German naked, the motorcycle produces 34 hp of power and 28 Nm of torque. Previous spy images have revealed that the Apache RR 310S redlines at around 9,000 rpm while the power output in the BMW G310R peaks at 9,500 rpm confirming that the TVS product will be in a different tune.
The TVS Apache RR 310S is expected to launch around August 2017 with a price tag under INR 2 lakhs.
