Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said:
Focused at up-country customers with a progressive mindset, CLIQ is a perfect blend of Practicality, Versatility and value for money. Breaking the price barrier of automatic transmission on two wheels, only Honda as the market leader in automatic scooters with its unparalleled economies of scale & assured Trust, could challenge traditional preferences by bringing this kind of disruption in the 100-110cc segment.
The Honda Cliq has been priced at INR 42,990 for the standard variant and INR 43,490 for the deluxe trim (both prices ex-showroom, Jaipur). Incidentally, the Honda Navi is priced at INR 42,063 (ex-showroom, Jaipur). While the underbody frame remains the same, the Honda Cliq gets a wide footboard, an underseat storage space and an additional luggage carrier.
The Cliq gets the safety net of Honda’s Combi Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer technology which will help in reducing the braking distance. The headlamp has been positioned in the front apron just like the Honda Dio.
The Honda Cliq measures 1,745 mm in length, 695 mm in width and 1,039 mm in height which makes it smaller than the Honda Activa 4G. The wheelbase of 1,241 mm though is larger than the Activa’s value of 1,238 mm.
