All-new Citroen C3 Aircross to go on sale in Europe in H2 2017.
The original Citroen C3 Picasso arrived back in 2008 and welcomed a facelift in 2012. It's set to get replaced by the Citroen C3 Aircross, unveiled yesterday. Here's a pictorial comparison between the Citroen C3 Aircross and the 2012 Citroen C3 Picasso.
The Citroen C3 Aircross moves from a Latin American market product to a global product. It features a design inspired by the Citroen C-Aircross concept introduced at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, and measures 4.15 metres in length, 1.76 metres in width and 1.64 metres in height, and has a wheelbase of 2.60 metres. In comparison, the Citroen C3 Picasso measures 4.08 metres in length, 1.77 metres (2.05 metres with ORVMs) in width and 1.63 metres (1.67 metres with roof rails) in height, and has a wheelbase of 2.54 metres.
The Citroen C3 Aircross's standard boot volume is 410 litres, and folding the rear seats, there's 1,289 litres of total load capacity. The Citroen C3 Picasso, although having only 385 litres of boot space below the parcel tray, offers a maximum load space of 1,506 litres on folding down the rear seats.
Two-tier headlamp setup with LED DRLs in the upper part and main light unit in the lower part, 17-inch diamond-effect wheels, rear quarterlights with "Venetian blind" print, fully panoramic glass sunroof, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Citroen Connect Nav 3D navigation system featuring TomTom Traffic and voice recognition, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink, (Qi) wireless charging for smartphones, Lane Departure Warning System, Blind Spot Monitoring System, Coffee Break Alert (driver alert system) and Active Safety Brake (autonomous emergency braking) are noteworthy features of the Aircross.

The Citroen C3 Picasso is based on the PSA PF1 platform of the previous generation Citroen C3, and the new generation Citroen C3 Aircross shares an evolution of the same platform with the new generation Citroen C3.
Citroen will offer the crossover with the PureTech 110 petrol, PureTech 130 petrol, HDi 90 diesel, BlueHDi 100 diesel and BlueHDi120 diesel engines. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed EAT6 automatic.
The Citroen C3 Aircross will go on sale in Europe in H2 2017 and compete with the Fiat 500X, Renault Captur, Peugeot 2008 and Opel Mokka X.
