The 2018 BMW X3 will sell in xLine, Luxury Line and M Sport grades.

Launched originally back in 2003, the BMW X3 has sold 1.5 million units. The newly introduced model is the third generation model of the mid-size SUV, featuring an evolutionary design. The all-new BMW X3 looks more sophisticated and has a 5 cm longer wheelbase. LED headlights, active air flaps, LED fog lamps, 21-inch alloy wheels, electric tailgate, 3D-look LED tail lights and twin tailpipes are the key exterior features of the SUV.

The 2018 BMW X3 will sell in xLine, Luxury Line and M Sport grades. This is the first time that an M Performance variant - the M40i, tops the range in the X3. The X3 M40i gets electroplated elements in Cerium Grey, M Sport brakes, M-specific drivetrain set-up and steering set-up and a sports exhaust system.

On the inside, the third generation BMW X3, as in any other BMW model, has a driver-focused cockpit layout. The dashboard, three-spoke steering wheel, instrument panel, HVAC vents, floor console and door panels - all completely redesigned. The infotainment system now has a free-standing display at the centre of the dashboard. The Navigation system Professional system is available with a touchscreen and gesture control. Until now, both were exclusive to the 7 Series and 5 Series. Other highlights include digital instrument cluster, Head-up display, Remote 3D View and WiFi hotspot using LTE network.

The 2018 BMW X3 is available with an array of driver assistance systems. The G01 X3 offers semi-autonomous driving tech as well. The Active Cruise Control system can apply brakes in stop-and-go traffic and automatically accelerate. In an optional Driving Assistant Plus safety suite, the all-new X3 gets Steering and lane control assistant, Lange Change Assistant and Lane Keeping Assistant with side collision protection.

Based on the CLAR platform, the new generation BMW X3 is 55 kg lighter than the previous generation model. It will sell in the following configurations:

  • X3 sDrive20i - 2.0-litre petrol engine (184 hp/290 Nm), 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive
