The Volkswagen Tiguan has a 615-litre boot.
Volkswagen India has launched the Volkswagen Tiguan in the country as a premium SUV. Based on the MQB platform, the five-seater comes with 4MOTION AWD system, and the SUV is now available for test drives and bookings.
The Volkswagen Tiguan is assembled at Volkswagen India’s Aurangabad facility. The SUV comes in two variants, Comfortline and Highline. The Comfortline trim gets auto LED headlamps, 17-inch alloys, cruise control, touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone-based navigation, driving modes, paddle shifters, front side and curtain airbags, hill descent control, front and rear parking sensors and rain-sensing wipers.

The Volkswagen Tiguan Highline gets bigger 18-inch alloy wheels, LED taillamps, panoramic sunroof, illuminated scuff plates, keyless entry, reverse parking camera, self-sealing tyres and easy opening boot with one touch closing function.

Powering the Volkswagen Tiguan is a 1,968 cc turbocharged, direct injection common rail diesel engine coupled to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The engine has a fuel efficiency of 17.06 km/l and is capable of producing 143 PS of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and 340 Nm of peak torque in the range of 1,750 rpm to 2,750 rpm. It has a ground clearance of 149 mm and has a 71-litre fuel tank.
The Volkswagen Tiguan has been priced at INR 27.98 lakhs for the Comfortline trim and INR 31.38 lakhs for the Highline variant (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
