Dethrones Maruti Ciaz as India's most fuel-efficient locally manufactured car.
The 2017 Maruti Dzire's brochure has leaked ahead of its launch in India tomorrow, courtesy Team-BHP. The leaked brochure confirms the reported 28.4 km/l mileage figure (ARAI approved) of the 2017 Maruti Dzire diesel.
The 2017 Maruti Dzire measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,515 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm and a ground clearance of 163 mm. It's available with a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 61 kW at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm, as well as a 1.3-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that develops 55 kW at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm.
Transmission choices include 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual. Irrespective of the transmission chosen, the 2017 Maruti Dzire gets a fuel economy rating of 22 km/l in the petrol model and 28.48 km/l in the diesel model.
The 2017 Maruti Dzire is available in LXi/LDi, VXi/VDi, ZXi/ZDi and ZXi+/ZDi+ grades. Noteworthy features include LED projector headlamps with signature daytime running lamps, electrically adjustable and electrically retractable ORVMs, 15-inch alloy wheels, LED rear combination lamps, leather-wrapped steering, flat-bottomed steering wheels, engine push start-stop button, rear AC vent, automatic climate control and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay-enabled Smartplay infotainment system with navigation and voice command.

On the safety front, the 2017 Maruti Dzire gets ABS with EBD and BA, dual airbags and ISOFIX child seat anchorages as standard. Reverse parking sensors and reverse parking camera are available.
