Thanks to the new tax structure of GST, car prices are set to fall across all segments.
ET Auto reports that prices of the Isuzu MU-X and D-Max V-Cross have been slashed by INR 1.5 Lakhs, thanks to the benefits of the new tax revisions brought by GST, which will be implemented from July 1. A few manufacturers have already begun to offer the benefits before the deadline, Isuzu being one of them.
The recently launched Isuzu MU-X SUV now costs between INR 22.4 Lakhs - 24.4 Lakhs, instead of the INR 23.9 Lakhs - INR 25.9 Lakhs points from the launch on May 11, making it a bit more attractive, as it comfortably undercuts all rivals.
The MU-X is powered by a 3.0-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder engine producing 130 kW (177 PS) at 3,600 rpm and 380 Nm of torque between 1,800 rpm and 2,800 rpm. It is fitted with a 5-speed automatic transmission as standard and can be equipped with a 4WD system. The MU-X is capable of averaging a fuel mileage of 13.8 km/l.
As for the D-Max V-Cross, prices now start from INR 12.7 Lakhs, instead of the INR 13.3 Lakh price tag it held previously. Note that all prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
The D-Max is manufactured at a localization rate of 70% at the company’s plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. It is powered by a 2,499 cc four-cylinder VGS turbodiesel engine that makes 134 hp at 3,600 rpm and peak torque of 320 Nm between 1,800 and 2,800 rpm.
