The Honda Scoopy gets an anti-theft alarm along with an answer back system.
A report in MotorOctane suggests that HMSI (Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd) is planning to introduce the Honda Scoopy to the Indian market. The automatic scooter is said to have been patented for the India, however, we would request readers to take this news with a pinch of salt as Honda India has traditionally developed products for India and not brought forward a global model. Manufacturers file patents in India regularly but don't introduce every one of them.
This is not the first time there is media speculation on Honda readying a Yamaha Fascino and Vespa challenger for the Indian market. Called the Metropolitan in the US and Scoopy in Indonesia, the scooter has been seen with different powertrains. The Indonesian Honda Scoopy gets a 108.2 cc mill producing 9.1 PS of power and 9.4 Nm of torque.
