Both engines get the choice of AMT.
MSIL has just confirmed that the next gen Maruti Dzire will launch in India on 16 May 2017. Bookings for the compact sedan has already begun at dealerships for INR 5,000.
The next gen Maruti Dzire features new LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, wide front grille with chrome outlining, new alloy wheels, shark fin antenna, redesigned bumpers with chrome accents on the front unit and a moulded boot spoiler. It is based on the 'HEARTECT' platform which will make it lighter and more fuel efficient than the outgoing car.
Inside, the 2017 Maruti Dzire has a dual tone beige and black interior colour combination with chrome, silver and faux wood trim materials, a restyled centre console, instrument binnacle, auto climate control buttons, rear AC vent, leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel with buttons for audio and bluetooth telephony (beside the horn pad), and a 7-inch Smartplay touchscreen.
Engine options will be the 1.3L DDiS 190 4-cyl diesel engine paired with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AGS (AMT), as well as a 1.2L 4-cyl K12B petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual and for the first time, a 5-speed AGS (AMT).
