India will not get the latest model.
Autocar India has posted images of an Isuzu MU-X undisguised ahead of its launch in India on May 11. The model spotted is the pre-facelift version of the MU-X, while the facelifted version went on sale in Thailand last February.
The model to be sold in India is locally assembled at Isuzu's new facility in Andhra Pradesh, with CKD kits imported from Thailand, which currently manufactures the facelifted MU-X. It is likely that the initial set of kits imported from Thailand would be based on the pre-facelift version, while the facelifted version could be introduced at a later time.
The MU-X spied features 17-inch alloy wheels, LED DRL strips beside the fog lamps, projector headlamps, bold dual slat chrome grille, chrome ORVM caps, roof rails, gloss grey bumper finish, sideboard and a rear spoiler.

Autocar India reports that the engine under the hood is a 3.0L turbodiesel engine that produces 163 PS and 380 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual. It will come equipped with 4x4 as standard, while the 4x2 version could launch at a later time.
