Mid-cycle update to bring fresh styling, new features and a new engine.
HMIL revealed last evening that it will launch a new "modern premium car" in India on 20 April 2017. It is understood that the model the company is referring to is the 2017 Hyundai Xcent.
The 2017 Hyundai Xcent will get some visual changes and new features with the facelift. The new look is endowed by tweaked bumpers, signature Cascading grille, LED daytime running lights, new alloy wheels/wheel covers, reshaped boot lid and large wraparound tail lamps.
The interior of the 2017 Hyundai Xcent will not get as many changes. The major change here is the replacement of the current multimedia system with a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. The new model should also have voice recognition with a dedicated button for the same on the steering wheel. The base models may get a 5.0-inch touchscreen audio system.

Along with the refreshed exterior and new tech, the facelifted Hyundai Xcent will see a change in the engine range. The 1.2-litre Kappa four-cylinder petrol engine will continue, but the new 1.2-litre U2 CRDi three-cylinder diesel engine will replace the current 1.1-litre CRDi three-cylinder diesel engine. The new diesel engine is tuned to produce 75 PS and 19.4 kgm (190.25 Nm) of torque in the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10.
Hyundai is also understood to have made a taxi-special variant called the 'Hyundai Xcent Prime', details of which are awaited.
