The Honda Wave 125i is marketed as the Honda Supra X 125 in Indonesia.
Honda Malaysia has launched the 2017 Honda Wave 125i in two variants, one with a rear drum brake and the other with discs at both ends. The scooter gets a premium look and claims a range of up to 300 km in one tank of gas. The new Honda Wave 125i is also certified as an Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) with the Road Transport Department.
The Honda Wave 125i is powered by a 124.9 cc air-cooled mill coupled to a 4-speed gearbox. The fuel injected mill is capable of producing 9.19 PS of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 10.08 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The scooter tips the scales at 105 kg for the drum brake version and 107 kg for the twin disc trim.

The geared scooter is suspended over telescopic forks up front and dual springs in the rear. The fuel tank can store 5.4-litre of petrol and the tyres are shod with 17-inch wheels at both ends. Colour options include Candy Scintillate Red, Pearl Nightfall Blue and Sword Silver Metallic.

Honda will be offering the Honda Wave 125i with 2 years/20,000 km manufacturer warranty with an additional 1 year/10,000 km extended warranty for the engine. The under-seat storage can accommodate a full-face helmet.
The 2017 Honda Wave 125i has been priced at MYR 6,263.54 for the rear drum brake and MYR 6,549.74.
