Will reportedly go on sale in India in October 2017.
As per a recent report, the Tata Nexon will go on sale in India in October 2017. Months ahead of the vehicle's official unveiling, photos of a production-ready unit has surfaced on the web, courtesy Carwale.
The Tata Nexon is Tata Motors' take at the booming sub-4 metre SUV segment and will go against the likes of the Honda WR-V, Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport. The Tata Nexon is underpinned by the Tata Bolt and Tata Zest's platform, which is essentially an upgraded version of the Tata Vista's X1 platform. It measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width and 1,607 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,498 mm.
The Tata Nexon's engine options will likely include the 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged three-cylinder petrol unit and an all-new 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel unit. The petrol model may have a 5-speed manual transmission, while the diesel model will have a 6-speed transmission. An AMT option should follow at a later stage, if not introduced right at launch.
