The SsangYong XAVL concept is the further developed version of the SsangYong XAV concept from the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2015). The XAVL, short for ‘eXciting Authentic Vehicle Long’, is inspired by the second-gen classic Korando of the 1990s and previews a future mid-size SUV.

The production version will offer seats for seven people and its engine options will include 1.5-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel. Transmission choices will include 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic, both sending power to the front wheels.
Infotainment system with a 10.25-inch full-colour LCD display, Wi-Fi hotspot for second- and third-row passengers, Advanced Emergency Braking System, Lane Change Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, High Beam Assistance, Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are some of the key features of the SsangYong XAVL concept.
The driver can control the functions of the vehicle’s navigation, HVAC and infotainment system even using a smartphone. In addition, Link to Home IOT (Internet of Things) technology allows for managing CCTV, security, domestic equipment and temperature control at home.
