The Renault Kaptur in India will be bigger than the European version.
The Renault Captur has been spied by a Rushlane reader in Chennai. The version en route to India is the emerging market version, which sits on a modified Duster platform. The model is sold in Russia as the 'Kaptur'
Powering the Kaptur will be the same 1.5-litre dCi four cylinder diesel mill sold in the Renault Duster. The engine is offered in two power outputs, 85 PS (200 Nm) and 110 PS (245 Nm). A 1.6-litre petrol producing 104 PS of power and 148 Nm torque might also be offered. Transmission options may include a mix like a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and an AMT might be on offer just like the Duster.
The Renault Kaptur is expected to get features like a 7-inch Media Nav 2.0 infotainment system with inbuilt GPS navigation, cruise control, 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, automatic lights, rain sensor, fog lights with cornering function, leather upholstery and reversing camera.
The SUV in Brazil measures 4,329 mm in length, 1,813 mm in width and 1,619 mm in height. The wheelbase measures 2,673 mm. Colour options can include monotone schemes as well as a plethora of dual tone possibilities.
