Land Rover's new dynamic SUV revealed prematurely.

The Range Rover Velar has leaked online ahead of its confirmed world debut today. Diariomotor prematurely published the exterior and interior images of the upcoming luxury SUV yesterday.

Range Rover Velar front three quarters
The Range Rover Velar is underpinned by the Jaguar F-Pace's IQ platform.

The Range Rover Velar is a perfect mash-up of the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Evoque, combining the big dimensions and practicality of the former and the sporty styling of the latter. The front-end is characterised with a dark radiator grille flanked by sleek headlamps consisting of LED signature lights, a notably large lower grille, claw-like inserts on the side air vents and a subtle, black-coloured lip spoiler.

The coupe-like profile is perhaps the most appealing characteristic of the SUV. Unlike any other Range Rover models, the Velar's greenhouse ends with a curved quarter glass to give it a unique style. Black underbody cladding is a nice touch along with the black roof. At the rear, the 'Range Rover' lettering is flanked by notably wide tail lamps which extend to the quarter panels.

The interior, with the screens off, looks elegant and has minimalistic usage of knobs and buttons on the dashboard and centre console. A four-spoke steering wheel and a rotary gear selector can be seen in the images, besides a large touchscreen infotainment system and a gloss black centre console which has touch-sensitive buttons.

The Range Rover Velar sits on the Jaguar F-Pace's IQ lightweight aluminium platform and will hit the markets with Ford V6 engines. Ingenium six-cylinder petrol and diesel units will follow later.

Land Rover will position the Range Rover Velar between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport which are priced at £30,600 (INR 25,31,170.8) and £59,700 (INR 49,38,264.6) respectively in the UK.
