Could debut at the Auto Expo 2018.
The next generation Maruti Swift is reported to launch in Indian in early 2018. Although a specific date has not been divulged, it could debut at the Auto Expo 2018, which is usually held in February.
The new Swift made its European debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show yesterday. Codenamed 'YSD', it is based on the company’s “HEARTECT” new-generation platform, and measures 3,840 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,500 mm/1,525 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. New features of the exterior are LED headlamps with LED DRLs, 16-inch dual tone alloy wheels, C-pillar integrated door handles, LED taillamps, and a hexagonal grille.
Inside, the new Swift has a redesigned cabin that is simpler with far fewer buttons and dials, and features a 7 inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay, round dials with displays for the climate control system, new twin pod instrument cluster with color MID, and a sportier flat bottom steering wheel.

The next gen Maruti Swift will continue with the current range of engine options, which include the 1.2-litre VVT four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 84.3 PS at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, and the 1.3-litre DDiS four-cylinder diesel engine that develops 75 PS at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm.
