The Kawasaki Z900 was officially unveiled at EICMA 2016.
The Indonesian market gains a new middleweight in the form of the Kawasaki Z900. Replacing the Kawasaki Z800, the Z900 emerges as a powerful motorcycle which focuses on the rider’s needs.
The Kawasaki Z900 gets a tubular trellis frame which houses a 948 cc liquid cooled, inline four-cylinder mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 125 PS of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 98.6 Nm of peak torque at 7,700 rpm. The first five cogs have short gearing which will help in quickly building speed while the 6th is overdrive.
The bike gets rev adjustable gear shift indicator and a tachometer which offers three selectable display modes. The Kawasaki Z900 also gets a slip and assist clutch. It is suspended over 41 mm upside down forks up front with adjustable rebound and preload and a monoshock in the rear with similar levels of adjustment.
The Kawasaki Z900 has a kerb weight of 210.5 kg and has a seat height of 795 mm. The brakes include 300 mm front dual discs with Nissin four-piston calliper and a single 250 mm petal disc in the rear with a mono piston calliper.
The Kawasaki Z900 has been priced in Indonesia at IDR 225 million units (OTR).
