Gaadiwaadi has managed to snap the 2017 Toyota Corolla Altis (facelift) ahead of its national launch that was expected to be held today. The facelifted model gets noticeable cosmetic upgrades, equipment updates and refinements to ride quality (claimed); similar to the model sold in other countries.
Drawing cues from Toyota's new "Under Priority and Keen Look" design languages, the facelifted Corolla Altis has restyled radiator grille that is now slimmer, bi-beam LED projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, redesigned front bumper with wide single intake, a larger air dam, new dual-tone multi-spoke alloy wheels and LED-powered taillamps. Also new is the Phantom Brown color option, seen in the model above

The cabin design is identical to the outgoing model, save for newly-designed spherical HVAC vents on the driver and passenger sides, a new MID, redesigned climate control buttons and display, and a 7 inch touchscreen system with GPS-guided navigation, Bluetooth and Voice Command for top-end grades. It retains the dual tone beige and black colour combination with beige leather upholstery in higher-end models, but is reported to get soft-touch materials and better noise insulation.

The engine lineup will be retained from the outgoing Corolla Altis, which includes a 2ZR-FE 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 103 kW (138.07 hp) and 173 Nm of torque, and the 1ND-TV 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine that develops 65 kW (87.13 hp) and 205 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on both models, while the petrol variant is exclusively available with a CVT.
Expect the 2017 Toyota Corolla to be priced slightly higher than the outgoing version which retails from INR 13,78,516 to INR 18,66,516 (ex-showroom Delhi).
