Toyota Astra Motor’s LCGC ready with a mid-cycle update.
The Toyota Agya, Toyota’s version of the Daihatsu Ayla, was launched in 2013 and is set to receive a facelift this year. Indonesian publication AutonetMagz has published leaked images of the 2017 Toyota Agya, revealing a majority of the changes the car will get with the facelift.
The leaked images show that with the facelift, the Toyota Agya will get a new chrome slat below the bonnet, redesigned headlamps, new grille layout and redesigned tail lamps. The 2017 Toyota Agya seen in the leaked images is in the sporty TRD S grade, and it features TRD S body kit, new bumpers, smoked projector headlamps with a straight LED line guide and auto cut-off function, LED tail lamps, 14-inch machined alloy wheels, power mirrors with integrated turn signals, and 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity.
The Toyota Agya measures 3,600 mm in length, 1,600 mm in width and 1,520 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. It’s currently available with only the 1KR 12 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine that produces 65.3 PS at 6,000 rpm and 88 Nm of torque at 3,600 rpm, in 5-speed manual transmission and 4-speed automatic transmission models. With the facelift, the Low Cost Green Car will reportedly get a new 1.2-litre engine, but no specific details about that are available yet.
Around the same time as the Toyota Agya, the Daihatsu Ayla should also get a facelift, with similar kind of changes.
