Will go on sale at the end of 2017.
The brand new Lexus LS was unveiled at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in January and here's the redesigned model undisguised on the public roads. Twitter user kurur_000 recently spotted a white 2017 Lexus LS on test in Japan.
With the MY2017 update, the Lexus LS has entered its fifth generation. The 2017 Lexus LS' design is inspired by the Lexus LF-FC concept from the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. The GA-L rear-wheel drive platform which debuted in the Lexus LC 500, now with a longer wheelbase, underpins the Lexus LS. The new generation model measures 206.1 in. (5,235 mm) in length, 74.8 in. (1,900 mm) in width and 57.1 in. (1,450 mm) in height, and has a wheelbase of 123 in. (3,125 mm).
The 2017 Lexus LS will retail in two trim levels: LS 500 and LS 500h. The LS 500 gets its power from a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine that produces 310 kW (415 hp) and 600 Nm (442 lb.-ft.) of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The LS 500h is a hybrid powered by the new Lexus Multi-Stage Hybrid System. Its powertrain comprises the 3.5-litre Dual VVT-i V6 petrol engine and two electric motors and produces a system output of 264 kW (354 hp). The hybrid variant has a continuously variable transmission. Lexus will offer an all-wheel drive system in both models.
