Harley Davidson Road King Special is powered by the new Milwaukee Eight mill.
The Harley Davidson Road King Special moves away from the chrome studded body to a darker theme. The bike loses the windscreen and gains 9-inch tall ape hanger bars.
Moving away from the chrome surfacing to a black themed and lowered profile the new Harley Davidson Road King Special enters the realm of neo-classical custom baggers. Powering the bike is a 1,745 cc Milwaukee Eight 107 mill which is capable of producing 150 Nm of peak torque at 3,250 rpm. The bike tips the scales at 372 kg and can store 22.7 litre of petrol.
The 2017 Harley Davidson Road King Special will be available in four colour options which include Vivid Black, Charcoal Denim, Hot Rod Red Flake Hard Candy Custom and Olive Gold. The bike gets a twin disc setup up front and a single in the rear with 4 piston fixed calipers at both ends. Harley Davidson adds that the Road King Special can have a 31 degree and 32 degree lean angle towards the left and right respectively.

The bike measures 2,420mm in length and has a seat height of 695 mm. The latter is higher than the 668 mm seat height of the standard Road King. The ground clearance too has reduced from 134 mm to 125 mm.
The Harley Davidson Road King Special has a starting price of USD 21,999 which is a USD 3,000 premium over the standard chrome model.
