The 2017 KTM Duke 390 was unveiled at EICMA 2016.
KTM may not have officially confirmed a launch date of the 2017 KTM Duke 390 for the Indian market, but the excitement levels are at its peak. A report in Bikewale though reveals that KTM India might not introduce the 2017 KTM Duke 200 in India. Instead, the Indian market will receive a slightly updated motorcycle based on the current version.
The 2017 KTM Duke 200 misses out on LED headlamps and swanky new TFT instrumentation. It also does not get mechanical upgrades like ride by wire and slipper clutch. This strategic move though will help KTM keep prices under check. The exhaust system is a new side mounted canister unit which is Euro 4 compliant.
The report adds that the KTM India will be updating the 2016 Duke 200 and adding new colour options and stickers, also meaning that the bike will miss out on the aggressive new design and more importantly the bigger fuel tank.

If one goes to the KTM India website, under the list of products they have already added the 2017 KTM Duke 390 but the Duke 200 remains unchanged. This further supports the theory.
The KTM Duke 200 currently uses a 199.5 cc fuel injected, liquid-cooled mill which is capable of producing 25 PS of maximum power.
