Noticeable highlights include larger taillamps and bumper.

The 2017 Hyundai Xcent (facelift) was spied testing for the first time in Chennai by a Motor Vikatan reader, offering a first look at the redesigned posterior. It's expected to launch much after the Grand i10 facelift, which is tipped to enter the market this month.

The 2017 Hyundai Xcent will feature a redesigned posterior that incorporates new horizontal wraparound taillamps, new boot lid and a bigger bumper.

As previous reports suggested, the new Xcent will feature a redesigned posterior that integrates a pair of new horizontal wraparound taillamps, new boot lid and a redesigned bumper. The front-end is likely to borrow cues from the Grand i10 facelift, which include a ‘Cascading’ hexagonal grille and a new bumper design with chrome accents. The Maruti Swift Dzire rival also gets new wheel cover and alloy rim designs.

Like the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10, the 2017 Hyundai Xcent Sportz could feature a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while the top-end Asta gets a new 7-inch system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2017 Grand i10 will also share its engine lineup with the facelifted Xcent, which welcomes a new 1.2L unit that, reportedly, produces 74bhp and 171 Nm of torque, while the petrol variant retains the 1.2L VTVT 4-cyl engine paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.
