Current model offers 15-inch Tosa alloy wheels.
A VW Ameo with 16-inch 'Portago' alloy wheels was spied testing by Scoopmeister in Pune. The wheels are wrapped with 195/55/R16 section Apollo Alnac tyres.
The current model is fitted with smaller 15-inch 'Tosa' alloy wheels in the top-end Highline grade, while the lower grades get alloy wheel covers. The 16-inch alloy wheels could be exclusive to the Highline grade and will be shared with its siblings: Polo and Vento. It is unclear if Volkswagen has made suspension changes to offset the negative impact of the 16-inchers' ride quality. The Portago design is sourced from the international-spec VW Polo.
