The Benelli TNT135 will be a premium monkey bike.
DSK Benelli’s upcoming monkey bike for the Indian market, the Benelli TNT 135, has been spotted by a TeamBHP member when it was out for an advertisement shoot.
The Benelli TNT135 first made its appearance in India at the 2016 Auto Expo in February. Post the success of the Honda Navi, which recently gained Adventure and Chrome customisation options, this will be only the second monkey bike for India in modern times.
Powering the Benelli TNT135 is a 135 cc single cylinder, 4-valve, dual spark, oil-cooled mill housed inside a lattice frame made of lightweight steel. Coupled to a 5 speed gearbox the engine is capable of producing 13 hp of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and 10.8 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
The Benelli TNT135 gets premium 41 mm upside down front forks and disc brakes all around. The exhaust is an underbelly unit and the exhaust seems to draw inspiration from MV Agusta’s design philosophy. The knobby wheels and small yet aggressive stance give the bike a powerful look. The Benelli TNT135 tips the scales at 121 kg and can store 7.2 litre of fuel at a time.
The Benelli TNT135 gets a ground clearance of 160 mm and has a seat height of 780 mm allowing easy accessibility.
DSK Benelli will be placing the TNT135 below the Benelli TNT25 but will be pricing it at a premium.
