Triumph’s Bonneville range has the Thruxton as the flagship offering. However to cater to a wider audience, the British motorcycle manufacturer unveiled the Triumph Street Cup in October 2016. The bike has been showcased at the Thai Motor Expo.

The Triumph Street Cup is powered by the 900 cc liquid cooled, high-torque, SOHC engine which is capable of producing 52 PS of maximum power at 5,900 rpm and 80 Nm of peak torque at 3,230 rpm. With a signature 270 degree firing interval, the engine is mated to a 5 speed gearbox. ABS, ride by wire, traction control and torque assist clutch are available as standard.

The Triumph Street Cup is suspended over 41 mm KYB forks in the front with twin shocks by the same brand in the rear (with adjustable preload). The 200 kg bike can be halted by a single 310 mm floating disc with 2 piston floating calliper sourced from Nissin in the front and a single 255 mm floating disc with floating 2 piston calliper in the rear.

Design wise, the Triumph Street Cup uses the same fuel tank as the Street Twin. The seat has been changed (raised to 780 mm from 750 mm) and the rear cowl is new. The handlebar is positioned lower and further away from the rider. The Triumph Street Cup borrows the instrumentation and foot pegs from the Thruxton.
