The Royal Enfield Continental GT is a cafe racer has a lineage stretching back to almost 5 decades.

Showcased as a concept back at the 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi, the Royal Enfield Continental GT was launched in November 2013. The 535 cc single cylinder fuel injected mill, however, is Euro 3 compliant and will have to meet stricter Euro 4 norms applicable in Europe from January 2017.

The engine, coupled with a 5 speed gearbox is capable of producing 29.1 bhp of maximum power at 5,100 rpm and 44 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. Being one of the lighter motorcycles by the Royal Enfield, the Continental GT tips the scales at 184 kg. It is shod with Pirelli Sport Demon tyres at both ends.

Now though, a test mule has been spotted by MoreBikes. A closer observation of the spy image reveals that the bike has the same powertrain as the existing version. Royal Enfield is probably testing the Euro 4 compliant version of the Royal Enfield Continental GT. The bike looks like the present version but misses out on bar end mirrors. A tank bag has been attached which possibly carries some testing equipment.
