Expected to be priced slightly higher than the current model.
A new report from Just Auto states that Hyundai will work on a mid-cycle facelift for the Hyundai i20 for launch in the first half of 2018. Its reported arrival is nearly four years after the current model was released for sale.
What we can expect is a slight facelift to both the exterior and interior, with the former featuring bolder LED DRLs, new alloy rims, re-profiled front and rear bumpers, and possibly new exterior color options. As the model's design is already based on Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 (current design philosophy), don't expect a revolutionary facelift to the exterior, except the integration of the cascading grille.
As for the interior, changes are likely to be limited to equipment upgrades and improved perceived quality. Expect new instrument dials, new multi-info display with fuel efficiency figures, redesigned buttons, new fabric upholstery, and a newer touchscreen system with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Engine lineup of the i20 sold in Europe is likely to remain untouched; options include a 75 PS/ 84 PS 1.2L 4-cyl petrol engine, 100 PS 1.4L 4-cyl petrol motor, 100 PS 1.0 T-GDI 3-cyl turbo petrol, 75 PS 1.1L CRDi 3-cyl turbodiesel and 90 PS 1.4L 4-cyl turbodiesel.
The facelift is more than likely to filter down to the Hyundai Elite i20 as well as other markets where the India-made i20 is sold. It could be introduced in the same year and, like the Euro-spec i20, engine lineup should be untouched.
