Lexus is yet to officially launch the car.
It was reported towards the end of last month that Lexus has started taking pre-orders for its products in India. Now, according to a report from GaadiWaadi, the first Lexus RX has been delivered in India. We're awaiting a reply to an email written to Toyota Kirloskar Motor on this matter.
The first Lexus RX delivered in India is being thought to have been an order made at a Toyota showroom in Cochin, Kerala. An official launch of the vehicle is expected to happen in early 2017.
The Lexus RX seen in the images is the mid-size SUV's 450h model - the only RX offering planned to be offered in India. It's powered by a petrol-electric hybrid powertrain consisting of a 3.5-litre V6 engine which produces 263 PS and 335 Nm of torque with two electric motors, one on each axle. The hybrid system produces 313 PS in total. An electrically controlled continuously variable transmission and an all-wheel drive system are part of the standard configuration.
