Bajaj Auto has a new agenda - get a share of the pie of the INR 1.5 lakh to INR 2 lakh price segment. To do that, they have a new weapon, the Bajaj Dominar 400. Launching on December 15, 2016, the bike has been teased by Bajaj on its dedicated Facebook page, showing off its LED headlamp. New spy images by Motor Octane also reveals the Dominar badging on the motorcycle for the first time and confirm that the motorcycle is now at dealer stockyards.

Bajaj Dominar 400 gets premium features like all-digital twin instrumentation, LED headlamp and optional ABS.

At the heart of the Bajaj Dominar 400 is the 373.2 cc single cylinder mill borrowed from the KTM Duke 390. The powertrain in the Austrian product is tuned for high speed corner carving. Bajaj with its patented triple spark treatment will have sedated the crotch rocket for leisure highway cruising as well.

The Bajaj Dominar misses out on upside down front forks seen in its concept form to keep costs under check. With a design language inspired from the Ducati Diavel, the Dominar is a sports cruiser aiming to provide an ideal mix of low end grunt for cities and decent mid range for highway cruising.

The bike gets ABS as an option. The Dominar is fitted with MRF Revz C1 and Rez FC1 tyres instead of Metzelers which will further help Bajaj in pricing the bike for the Indian market. New images reveal the D400 and Dominar badging on the motorcycle for the first time.
