Could launch in India in H2 2017.
A next gen Maruti Swift Dzire test mule was spotted testing by IAB reader, Paras Duneja, in Gurgaon, Harayana. The 2017 Maruti Swift Dzire is expected to launch in India in H2 2017, before its hatchback sibling arrives.
The photographs have been taken up close, revealing new details. The next gen Swift Dzire will feature LED-powered brake lights housed in taillamps that appear to look identical to the ones in IAB's rendering, and it gets projector headlamps with illuminated elements, which seem to be the LED daytime running strips, and sleeker ORVMs with mounted turn indicators. The model spotted is likely to be the top-end variant.
The face of the new Swift was revealed for the first time yesterday, which will also be shared with the Swift Dzire sedan, save for minor changes to the hexagonal grille and bumper for certain differentiation. The test mule spied also has beige fabric seat upholstery that could be contrasted by a black dashboard similar to the current model's interior colours.
