Bookings accepted for a minimum deposit of INR 25,000.
According to ET Auto, Tata Motors has received 250 bookings for the Tata Hexa crossover since dealerships started accepting bookings on November 1. The minimum deposit required to make a booking is INR 25,000.
Reports suggest that the Hexa will launch for sale on January 16, although Tata Motors hasn't announced a launch date. So far, the Indian manufacturer has only divulged that the launch date will be in January 2017.
The Aria-based crossover will be available in seven variants: XE 7-seater, XM 7-seater, XT 6-seater, XT 7-seater, XMA 7-seater. XTA 6-seater and XT 4×4 6-seater. Prices are expected to range between INR 12 Lakhs – INR 16 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
All variants are powered by a 2.2L four-cylinder VariCOR turbodiesel engine with 156 PS at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,700-2,700 rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual (XE only), 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. The top-end XT with 6-speed manual is only available with a 4WD system and Tata’s Super Drive modes – Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road.

The report also states that initial stock and test drive units will be dispatched to dealerships in the first week of December, so that future customers can have a closer look before placing an order.
