The MG GS 1.5 Turbo has made its Thai debut at the Motor Expo today. So far, the China-made SUV was sold with a bigger 2.0L Turbo motor. The smaller engine option is available in two variants: D and X, and prices range between between 890,000 baht - 990,000 baht.
The 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol is paired with a 7-speed DCT, generating 167 hp and 250 Nm. In relation, the 2.0L turbocharged four cylinder petrol engine is mated to a 6-speed DCT, producing 218 PS and 350 Nm of torque. Both feature paddle shifters as an option.
The MG GS SUV measures 4,500 mm long, 1,855 mm wide and 1,699 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,650 mm.
The design is identical to the model sold in China, featuring a two-part grille; a slim upper grille housing the Morris badge, and a lower mesh grille in the bumper, trapezoidal headlights, LED DRLs, 17/18 inch alloy wheels, angular taillights and roof spoiler.
Inside, top variants come with an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with GPS navigation, push-button start, heated front seats, electronic parking brake, ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and Hill Start Assist.
