Honda's crossover/SUV range has the Honda HR-V and Honda CR-V in Malaysia. The Honda BR-V is confirmed as the next addition, and is being showcased at the Malaysia Autoshow 2016.
The Honda BR-V is made in 5- and 7-seat versions, but it is the latter which on display in Malaysia. Essentially a crossover version of the Honda Mobilio, the Honda BR-V measures 4,453 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,666 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,662 mm and a ground clearance of 201 mm. With all three seat rows in place, the crossover offers 223 litres of boot space - the largest in its segment, and on folding the third row seats, the space increases to 539 litres.
The Honda BR-V is powered by the 1.5-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 88 kW (120 PS) at 6,600 rpm and 14.8 kg.m (145 Nm) of torque at 4,600 rpm. It can be had with a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission. In India, the 1.5-litre i-DTEC four-cylinder diesel engine is also offered.

Projector headlamps, LED light guides, 16-inch alloy wheels, 6.1-inch touchscreen entertainment system, reverse camera and sensors, ABS with EBD, dual-front airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) are some of the key features of the Honda BR-V. The BR-V will likely be positioned below the HR-V, which starts at RM 1,02,200 (INR 15,60,699.28).
