Brazil-spec Renault Kwid video walkaround details the changes
Aravind Jayachandran, I'm a huge petrolhead, an automobile engineer, a massive fan of Ferrari, and loves collecting die-cast models for inspiration.
Will feature changes focused around safety and equipment.
Although Renault Brazil did not showcase the Brazil-spec Renault Kwid at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show, they did unveil the Renault Kwid Outsider Concept to offer people a first look at what they can expect when the production-spec model arrives on the scene next year.
The Outsider concept supplements the crossover styling of the Kwid with tougher black plastic cladding, bigger wheels with alloy rims, silver skid plate, roof rails and green accents. It also reveals the Brazil-spec Kwid’s interior, which is a bit different to the Indian model. The window control buttons are located under the 7 inch MEDIANAV display and beside door lock and rear defogger buttons.
The Brazil-spec Kwid features dual front airbags, for which the glovebox is repositioned. It also gets a new instrument cluster, which comprises of an analogue speedometer and tachometer dials, and a digital multi-info display. The ORVMs can be adjusted with manual toggles or power-operated with buttons.
Reports suggest that the Brazil-spec Kwid will only get the 1.0L three cylinder SCe petrol engine, although the output figures are yet to be revealed. It will be fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while an automatic variant could be brought in later.
