Will be manufactured in India.
The BMW G 310 GS that had its world premiere at EICMA 2016 last week has been confirmed for India. BMW Motorrad has confirmed via its Twitter handle that the BMW G 310 GS will arrive in India at the end of 2017.
The BMW G 310 GS is the dual-sport version of the naked BMW G 310 R. The BMW Motorrad's second sub-500 cc motorcycle takes aim at the entry-level premium adventure segment. It measures 2,075 mm in length, 880 mm in width and 1,230 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 1,420 mm. It's bigger in every respect compared to the G 310 R.
The BMW G 310 GS uses a tubular steel frame with bolted rear frame and is powered by the same 313 cc water-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the BMW G 310 R. As in the latter, the EU-4-compliant engine delivers 25 kW (34 PS) at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm and is linked to a 6-speed transmission. This configuration allows for a top speed of 143 km/h.

The standard seat height is 835 mm, but can be changed optionally (Low Seat: 820 mm, Comfort Seat: 850 mm).
The BMW G 310 GS will be manufactured alongside the BMW G 310 R and the TVS Akula 310 in Hosur, Tamil Nadu in India.
