Should be coming to European dealer yards in early 2017.
The 2017 Ford Fiesta will be unveiled on 29 November in Cologne, Germany, the company has confirmed in a release. With a late-2016 debut, the redesigned Fiesta should be gracing European dealer showrooms in early 2017.
Ford is saving all the details for the unveiling. The new generation model is expected feature an evolutionary design and cut down on the funky character for a more mature look.
With a modestly updated design, the popular European supermini is expected to get bigger. The current UK-spec model measures 3,969 mm/3,982 mm in length, 1,978 mm in width (with door mirrors) and 1,495 mm in height. The seventh generation Ford Fiesta will be based on an evolution of the B-platform that underpins the current model.
The next-gen Ford Fiesta will be available as a 3-door hatchback and a 5-door hatchback, spy shots have confirmed, while moving further up to have the saloon and estate versions. The upscale Vignale trim level will be available right from launch, as per a recent report.

Latest technologies offered in the company's small cars, including the SYNC 3 infotainment system, should be made available in the future Fiesta. The Euro-spec 2017 Ford Fiesta is expected to be offered exclusively with turbocharged three- and four-cylinder engines. In regions outside Europe, the new 'Dragon' engines could be offered optionally.
